FODA

Fortalezas

Ventaja Competitiva

...powerful ethics to the State Legislature.   She felt that women should have the right to have a divorce and generally more rights for women.   Through her well-educated, formal speech she gained respect from the State Legislature, but at that time, respect was all she received.   Writing for social protest, she wanted women to make their own decisions from what type of dress to wear, to what type of job and/or education they want. Although women continued to wear some form of the corset until the 1920's (Banner 25), the public's stance on women's clothes started to revolutionize in the 1890's.   "Simplicity in dress had come to be associated, not with the poor or with radicals like Stanton of Anthony, but with more exciting and acceptable models: the actress, the working woman, the college woman, the sportswoman" (Banner 24). Young women expressed many taboos through their appearances. They had qualities that were unheard of in previous generations they were sexually liberated, independent, and gaining rights. The declaration of this self-fulfillment was shown through the unforgettable fashion of the flappers.  Women who had been taught to be independent and find work for them were confused, and the gender roles went back to what they once were.   The boyish look of the twenties had vanished and women tried again to look feminine, searching for a new realistic, but untouchable ideal.   World War II was taking its toll on much of the world, and it set in a harsh reality.  ......

...in Figure 2. This was another item that I was surprised to see so many brands of scanners. I narrowed it down to these four: Intermec Barcode Scanner/Corded, Motorola-Symbol Barcode Scanner, Honey-Well Area Imaging Scanner, and the Blue-tooth barcode Scanner. I was not aware of how many scanners and the price difference were out in the market today. I was just looking for a simple hand held scanner that would read and keep track of inventory. The company just needed a scanner that did what was necessary and under $200.00. My biggest surprise was how much scanners cost. The scanners vary from fifty dollars to a couple of thousand dollars. I was mainly looking for connection type and price. After comparing all four models, I saw how there was not that much different on what the scanner could do. Most of it was connection type and known for its technology. Therefore, after considering pricing and performance, I liked the blue- tooth barcode scanner. These options and portability are what the company needs. I did not like that they weighed more than most hand held scanners. The blue-tooth was reasonable in cost. I was not too happy with warranty it gave as opposed to the other scanners, given 5 years warranty compared to two year warranty for the blue-tooth (Opticon USA, n.d.). The models' efficacy was tested using online survey of 237 Facebook groups' members. The model explained 34% of the variance in knowledge sharing behavior where knowledge self efficacy, identification with group, and perceived group openness were found to positively influence knowledge sharing behavior. Contrary to expectations, social ties, perceived group fairness, and individual motivators showed no significant influence on knowledge sharing behavior. ... A critical analysis of the model shows that it is deeply rooted in the human relations tradition.  Employee influence is recognised through people motivation and the development of an organization culture based on mutual trust and team work.  The factors above must be factored into the HR strategy which is premised on employee influences, HR flows, reward system etc.  The outcomes from such a set up are soft in nature as they include high congruence, commitment, competencies etc.  The achievement of the crucial HR outcomes has got an impact on long term consequences, increased productivity, organizational effectiveness which will in turn influence shareholder interests and situational factors hence making it a cycle.  It is thus important to note that the Harvard model is premised on the belief that it is the organization’s human resources that give competitive advantage through treating them as assets and not costs. The Michigan/Matching Model  The Michigan model was propounded by Fombrun Tichy and Devanna (1984) at the Michigan Business School.  They also named this model a matching model of HRM.  Precisely, the matching aspect of this model demonstrates that the model is inclined towards the harder side of HRM.  This is because the matching model emphaizes more on “tight fit” between the HR strategy and the buisness strategy.  NB It demands that available human resources must be matched with jobs in the organization.  The...

...can generate profits. However, these short-term gains can be significantly outweighed by the negative consequences. Therefore, organizations require ethical and sustainable tools to ensure improved performance and the public’s trust. It is also of importance to understand how business executives perceive ethical leadership. Corporate leaders regularly face tough situations that require them to make ethical decisions. Therefore, it is important to comprehend what values these executives call upon when faced with these arduous situations. A recent study was carried out on 28 executives in which they were asked to recount a situation where they required resolving an ethical issue (Marsh, 2013). The narratives resulted in the formation of models that explained how the leaders’ perspectives when making ethical decisions and how the corporate executives’ ethical frameworks developed. This study showed that the decisions arrived by the participants were as a result of years of experience and years of deliberate decisions to act ethically (Marsh, 2013). The results of this study concur with the results obtained by McCann & Sweet (2014) whereby learning from multiple experiences seemed to contribute immensely to the decisions that a business leader made. As a result of experiences gained during the economic downturn, leaders in financial organizations are unlikely to participate in similar unethical practices. Apart from external effects that result from unethical leadership, an......

The organization has a significant decision in regards to building the morale of the company. There many source the company could pull from to put energy back into the company. Team building activities are another sure way to begin the stages of increasing morale. If the company fails to act on this aspect, they are setting themselves up for continued decreased success.
